Sutherland high school achieved outstanding results in the 2016 final matric exams with 82.7 percent of learners obtaining Bachelor’s passes.
The two top achievers were Robyn Lunn-Collier and Kayeleigh Moosa, who both obtained an average of 90.57 percent with seven distinctions each.
Robyn achieved 95 percent for life orientation, 91 percent for life sciences, 90 percent for maths, 93 percent for physical science, 94 percent for tourism, 89 percent for Afrikaans and 93 percent for business studies.
Kayeleigh obtained 93 percent for life orientation, 88 percent for maths, 90 percent for physical science, 94 percent for tourism, 92 percent for economics, 89 percent for Afrikaans, and 98 percent for accounting.
Short on Robyn and Kayeleigh’s heals was Sarah Turner with an average of 90.43 percent and seven distinctions.
She achieved 81 percent for English, 95 percent for Afrikaans, 93 percent for maths, 93 percent for life orientation, 94 percent for accounting, 84 percent for life sciences and 93 percent for physical science.
