Drug dealers arrested for selling drugs to police officers
The two drug dealers will appear in court on Monday.
Two drug dealers were arrested on Friday after they sold dagga to undercover police officers.
“The police officers parked their unmarked vehicle at Menlo Park post office for observation duties,” said Brooklyn police spokesperson Captain Colette Weilbach.

Menlo Park is known for its illegal drug activities.
“An informal car guard approached the vehicle and asked the officers whether they wanted zol (a street name for dagga).”
Weilbach said the officers asked about the price of the dagga and then paid the car guard.
“The officers were surprised to see the car guard crossing the road to the kingpin drug dealer.”
Weilbach said the drug deal took place right in front of the officers.

“When the car guard returned with the dagga he was immediately arrested.”
“The kingpin was arrested shortly afterwards and more dagga was recovered from the dealers’ hiding place,” said Weilbach.
Brooklyn police station commander Brigadier Kushie Nair commended the officers on their good work.
She said the arrests were a breakthrough in ridding the Menlo Park area of drugs.
“The suspects, who are both in their sixties, will appear in the Hatfield Community Court on Monday for dealing in dagga,” said Weilbach.
Weilbach urged residents to report any suspicious drug activities, persons or vehicles to the police immediately by phoning the 10111 emergency number.
Information regarding crimes or suspicious drug activities can be given to the police anonymously by phoning 08600-10111 or by sending an SMS to 32211.
