The family of a doctor who was robbed and shot at Gift Acres on Sunday have asked for privacy.
Dr John Constantinides was ambushed by three men at Gift Acres in Lynnwood Road around 13:00.
Die Wilgers hospital marketing and communications coordinator, Ineke Jonker said the family requested that nothing be published anymore about the well-known doctor from Pretoria.
Jonker said she understood the matter was a sensitive one, but providing information to the media was out of her hands.

Police said investigations continued and the hunt for the culprits was ongoing.
Garsfontein police spokesperson Captain Ilze Jones said police were made aware of a video that had been doing the rounds and were following every lead.
She said the doctor was still in hospital, but said the family would provide exact details of his condition.
“We [police] are not at liberty to provide details of his condition.”
Jones said the perpetrators stole the doctor’s watch and other personal items were also taken.
“We believe the victim was ambushed on his way to his vehicle.”
She said there was a scuffle between the men and the doctor before the robbery.
Asked if this had been a hijacking gone wrong, Jones said there was no evidence to indicate or corroborate a hijacking attempt.
She said investigations were ongoing and police would not speculate.
