A well-known TV and radio personality was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on Friday.
Sunnyside police spokesperson Captain Daniel Mavimbela said the man was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning.
“The suspect was reportedly spotted driving a Jaguar without exercising due caution at the corner of Nelson Mandela and Rissik Street, Sunnyside,” said Mavimbela.
Mavimbela said the man was released on R1 000 bail and was expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court soon.

“A further 59 people were arrested in the Sunnyside, Silverton and Garsfontein areas over the weekend.”
“They are expected to face charges ranging from assault, possession of dagga, shoplifting, possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle, and robbery.”
