Wonderboom police arrested a man for possession of stolen goods on Monday.
In a statement, police said they spotted the man carrying a bag near The Merc Man in Paul Kruger Street.
Police said when they stopped the man and searched his bag they found parts of a vehicle that had reportedly been hijacked in Brixton, Johannesburg last week.
“The owner was asked to give details of the person who had sold him the parts of the suspected stolen vehicle but he failed [to do so],” reads the statement.
Police said the man’s failure to produce proof of purchase violated the law that protected selling of second-hand goods.
