The police are on the hunt for two men who robbed the Wimpy restaurant in Centurion on Saturday.
Lyttelton police spokesperson Captain Dave Miller said the men robbed the franchise in Jean Avenue at 05:50 of R15 000.
Miller said the men ambushed staff and demanded entry into the store at gunpoint.
He said the staff resisted as long as they could but were overpowered.
“The suspects demanded cash and keys to the safe.
We believe some of the staff were tied up during the altercation.”
Police are investigating a case of business robbery.

“Anyone with information can anonymously contact the Lyttelton police.”
He, however, said the robbers would be brought to book.
