A moment of passion nearly ended in tragedy when a man was allegedly pushed out of a window of a second floor flat in Sunnyside.
The man (29) had apparently refused to pay an alleged sex worker more money. He broke his wrist and is receiving medical attention at a local hospital.
Sunnyside police spokesperson Captain Daniel Mavimbela said the woman was facing charges of attempted murder after reportedly pushing the man.
“It is believed that the victim had gone to Tambotie flats to visit a friend when he met an unknown 27-year-old woman,” said Mavimbela.

“The two proceeded to the woman’s flat after they had reportedly agreed to do ‘business’… explained as consensus to have sex in exchange for cash.”
He said the man allegedly gave the woman R30, but she reportedly insisted on more money and went on to search his pockets.
“It is believed that the suspect later demanded the victim’s backpack, which had a laptop inside. When he resisted, she allegedly pushed him out of the flat through an open window,” said Mavimbela.
“The man is believed to have suffered at least a broken wrist in the fall.”
The woman will be charged with attempted murder and is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court soon.
