WATCH VIDEO: G4s employees march for shares

G4S apparently failed to declare all accrued shares since the employee trust was formed in 2005.

Disgruntled employees of the G4S security company embarked on a march on Monday.

The march started in Irene at 10:30.

The march will move along along Main Road and Alexandra Road and a memorandum will be handed over at the company’s headquarters in Centurion at 12:00

“Since 2005 to date, workers have not received remunerations from G4S recovery group South Africa.”

Mpambo said the company claimed it could not pay dividends as it had not made a profit since 2005.

“Our question is if the company never made profit, how did they manage to pay another trust fund by the name of Kagiso and not us.”

G4S has a broad-based Black Economic Empowerment with 13 percent of the South African company shares held by the Kagiso group and another 13 percent held by the employee trust.
