More illegal dumpers have been caught red-handed in the Moot.
Capital Park Community Policing Forum (CPF) spokesperson Laura Tait said the illegal dumpers were caught around 13:00 on Saturday.

“One of our CPF members spotted them in Mayburgh Street and immediately alerted the metro police,” she said.
Tait said a fine of R2500 was issued.

DA ward councilor Elma Nel urged residents to report illegal dumping to her immediately.
“They can call me directly. The sooner they let me know, the sooner we can get the metro police on the scene,” she said.

“I will personally make sure that they get a fine of R500 and that they have to clean up their mess.”
She said when residents reported illegal dumping, they had to send her a picture and should be prepared to make a statement to the police.
