A highly successful police operation was held in the Tshwane North cluster over the weekend.
Police spokesperson Captain Mathews Nkoadi said the police were impressed with the operation’s results.
“Our members have continued to combat the scourge of crime within the parameters of the cluster,” said Nkoadi.

He said 577 people were arrested through various operations, including stop and searches.
“The cluster has vowed to leave no stone unturned and keep the streets free from criminal activities.”
Nkoadi said the perpetrators were arrested and charged with business robbery, house robbery, armed robbery, illegal railway crossing, shoplifting, prostitution, drunk drinking, attempted murder, murder, grievous bodily harm, rape, contravention of the Road Traffic Act, theft, theft of motor vehicle, theft out of motor vehicle, carjacking, illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of drugs and public violence.
All those arrested would appear in the Moretele, Pretoria North, Ga-Rankuwa and Soshanguve magistrate’s courts respectively.
