A metered taxi driver was shot on Sunday evening in a hijacking in Solomon Mahlangu Drive.
Rekord understands the man was supposed to pick up a client in Centurion, upon arrival at the location, he was hijacked. In a bid to save his life, the man jumped out of the moving vehicle and was shot in the leg.

A passerby raised the alarm, and French Jooste of responding security company, Bull Security, said his security personnel found the man on the side of the road bleeding.
He was treated by ER24 emergency services on the scene then transported to a hospital.
