Eersterust police are investigating a case of attempted murder after a man was shot and wounded on Sunday.
Police spokesperson Captain Johannes Maheso said the 32-year-old was allegedly shot by a friend at Havana internet cafe.
According to residents, the victim’s name is Glenwynne Boetros Liberty.

“It is alleged that the suspect, who was standing outside the cafe, pulled out a firearm and called the victim out of the cafe,” said Maheso.
“As the victim was about to reach the door, the suspect fired several shots at him and wounded him on the lower body.”
Maheso said police were closing in on the gunman and hoping to make an arrest soon.
According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Nick Dollman, Liberty suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital by a Tshwane emergency services ambulance.
