Pretoria residents have been told to question where their meat comes from, following a warning that it could be donkey meat.
The SPCA said 33 donkey carcasses were found in the north of Pretoria in the last two months.
Donkey meat can be easily mistaken for either beef or mutton, as people tend to buy red meat that is the most affordable.
