Sun Arena: the biggest entertainment site in city set for grand opening

The Sun International's Sun Arena will open in November.

One of the biggest entertainment arenas in South Africa is fast approaching completion in Pretoria.

The Sun Arena in Menlyn opens in November with a spectacular, “local is lekker” concert – The Unison celebration.

Sun International – one of the largest hospitality, leisure and gaming groups in Africa – is set to launch Tshwane’s first 8 500-seater indoor area, marking a new era in entertainment for the capital city.

The only venue of its kind in Pretoria, the state of the art Sun Arena provides an unprecedented platform for staging grand scale international and local acts.

 

 

Delivering on its promise to bring some of the most celebrated local and international artists to the city, Time Square has a spectacular lineup to hail the opening of Sun Arena including LIVE, Bryan Adams and the wildly popular “Afrikaans is Groot” series.

 

 

Time Square shares Sun International’s commitment to supporting the local music and performing arts industry, and will continue to provide a platform for local artists and bands to showcase their talents.

The concert will take place on 4 November and will not be for profit.

Only 8 500 tickets will be available to the public but will not be available for purchase.

General manager of Time Square Brett Hoppe said the arena had brilliant acoustic ability and the technology will be top of the range.
