Woman hospitalised after assault just outside of Pta

“After he attacked her, we fled to a petrol station, but he followed us there.”

A case of assault was opened after a woman was assaulted just outside of Pretoria.

According to the attacked woman’s friend, Thandeka Ndlovu, she was attacked by a man outside a pub in Tembisa on Sunday around 02:00.

The pub declined to give comment on the attack.

“After he attacked her, we fled to a petrol station outside Midrand, but he followed us there,” Ndlovu said.

It is believed the man is the woman’s ex-boyfriend.

“He continued his assault on my friend at the petrol station.”

Ndlovu said her friend was taken to hospital and a case was opened at the Olifantsfontein police.

At the time of going to press, Rekord could not obtain any comment from the police or the petrol station.
