An 18-year-old man was arrested on Friday evening for allegedly robbing an Eersterust couple at gunpoint.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Portia Maleka said it was alleged the victim was walking on Daniel Avenue, with his girlfriend when they were they were accosted by four men who held them up at gunpoint then robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash.

She said the loud screams of the victims alerted the residents who chased down and caught one of the suspects before calling the police.
“Gauteng SAPS urged the community to continue working together with the police in order to fight crime. The suspect will appear in court on Tuesday,” said Maleka.
