He said Maluleke had been linked to the killing of some member of the cash-in-transit syndicate and a taxi boss in Attridgeville.
Maluleke, allegedly a member of infamous group “Team Volta SA”, is currently in police custody on charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
It was discovered upon his arrest that he had a total of 12 other cases pending against him – including murder, car hijacking, possession of stolen vehicles and escaping from custody.
His case was postponed to 16 October for further investigation.
He was arrested after posting a video and pictures on social media bragging about his cash and holding an assault rifle in public.
