TMPD nab cable thieves

They were found stripping what seemed to be Telkom cables.

Two people were arrested after they were found stripping cables earlier this week in Valhalla.

Ward councillor Ina Strijdom said on Saturday that the arrests were made by Tshwane metro police with the assistance of MonitorNet officers.

The men were found stripping what seemed to be Telkom cables.

“I was alerted of people squatting in Kneen Park, Valhalla. I requested back-up from TMPD in Centurion. When the metro police arrived on the scene, they found two people stripping what seemed to be Telkom cables.

I wish to thank TMPD, MonitorNet and other security companies as well as community members who assisted with the arrest,” she said.

On Thursday, TMPD arrested two dealers in Hercules and Pretoria CBD respectively.
