A burst water pipe in Ratel and Orpen avenues in Lydiana has left residents without water for the third day on Thursday.

Ward 46 councillor Pieter van Heerden told Rekord that a team from the City of Tshwane was dispatched on Wednesday to repair the burst pipe but could not complete the work because the infrastructure was old and the ground around the area was caving in.
“A team has been dispatched to finish the repairs this morning,” said van Heerden. “Water supply should be restored today at least by midday.”
