
Two armed robbery incidents took place in Centurion on Monday, 16 October.
In the latest incident, a 42-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed of her bag and phone at Audi Centurion.
According to an eyewitness, the woman, whose identity is known to Rekord, pulled in shortly after 13:00.

“A white BMW 135m with two males pulled up behind her,” the eyewitness said.
“The driver of the BMW got out of the vehicle and attacked the woman when she was near the boot of her car.
“I rushed from the showroom and went to help,” he said.

The eyewitness said the suspect pulled out a firearm and pointed it at him.
“He pulled the trigger three times but something was wrong or it wasn’t loaded because it didn’t go off,” he said.
The eyewitness also told Rekord that the woman was assaulted by the suspect.

An earlier armed robbery incident involved a 38-year-old business manager who had withdrawn a large sum of money and was robbed at his workplace, Autohaus Centurion.
Garsfontein police spokesperson Captain Ilze Jones said the manager was followed to his workplace and accosted by three men when he stopped.
Two of the attackers pulled out firearms and demanded the large amount of money he had just withdrawn.

“They got away with the cash and his car keys,” Jones said.
She confirmed no one was injured, no shots were fired and no one was arrested.
Autohaus Centurion marketing manager Dalene van der Walt declined to comment saying that an investigation was underway.
