A Hammanskraal schoolgirl has been raped by a choir conductor.
Education MEC Phanyaza Lesufi confirmed on Thursday that a charge was laid at the Rietgat police station after the crime.

The 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a choir conductor at the school last Friday. Lesufi said the school had terminated the contract of the alleged choir conductor with immediate effect.
“Counselling was offered to the affected learner and will continue accordingly,” said Lesufi.
He said the victim had been placed in another school and was being supported with all study material.
“Police are still looking for the suspect. The investigation will also look into allegations that the perpetrator allegedly raped other two learners at the same school,” he said.
