Tshwane police have arrested more than 170 people in the west of Pretoria last week.
The suspects were arrested for various criminal activities in the Tshwane policing precinct between 23 and 29 October.

These arrests came as part of a joint effort between police in the Tshwane West cluster and other law enforcement such as the Tshwane metro police and home affairs.
“Suspects were arrested for various crimes such as domestic violence, assault, possession of stolen property, possession of unlicensed firearms, attempted murder, rape, house burglaries, theft, drugs and driving under the influence of alcohol,” said police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe.
Among those arrested were four men aged between 23 and 40 for stealing from a motor vehicle. The four were arrested in the Pretoria CBD.
It is alleged that the men in question targeted foreign nationals.
