Police are searching for a gang of armed robbers who allegedly shot at and bombed a cash-in-transit vehicle on the R513 road on Tuesday morning in the far east of Pretoria.
Police spokesperson Constable Connie Moganedi said this happened in Nooitgedacht, Cullinan around 09:00.

“The three security guards alleged that they were followed by a white Nissan Navara. The occupants started shooting their vehicle from behind which caused the driver to lose control, ” she said.
Moganedi said the guards managed to stop the vehicle and ran into the bushes.

“A few minutes later they heard an explosion going off.
“The unknown number of suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and the guards’ firearms,” she said.
No injuries were reported.
