The body of a young woman has been found in the veld near Temba dam in Hammanskraal, police said.
Constable Herman Moremi said the body of the woman, aged 32, was discovered with head and upper body injuries on Monday.
She was spotted by a community member who was passing by around 14:00.
“The person immediately alerted the police. Her feet were tied with a string and her handbag was found next to her head,” said Moremi.
Police suspect that the woman had been murdered somewhere else and dumped a few days before she was discovered as her body had partially decomposed.

“An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death,” said Moremi.
Police obtained information about the victim in a notepad found on the scene.
Moremi said the name of the deceased will be released after her family, believed to be in Modimolle, Limpopo, had been informed.
Meanwhile, Temba police are still investigating another murder case after a 22-year-old man who had been reported missing was found murdered and dumped in the bush recently.
Vincent Nkale’s body was found in a veld in Mathabe Village, north of Pretoria.
“The deceased had serious injuries including a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was declared dead by emergency medical services,” Moremi said.

He said the man’s feet and arms were bound with white cables.
A week before the discovery of Nkale’s body, another one was found in the veld in Hammanskraal near Babelegi industries.
