The missing Soshanguve woman has been found stuffed in the boot of her vehicle, police said on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Captain Stephen Maluleka confirmed that the 24-year-old woman, Ofentse Matsheni from block BB Soshanguve, was found alive in the boot of her vehicle last Thursday after being missing for two weeks.
The vehicle had been abandoned near a panel-beater, not far from her home.
“We can confirm that she has been found. No arrests have been made as yet but an investigation is continuing to catch her abductors,” said Maluleka.
Matsheni, a DA youth activist, was last seen at her home in block BB on Sunday 24 September.
According to a relative, Helen Kgobo, Matsheni was found by residents who then alerted the police.
“She was stuffed inside the boot of her car with hands and feet tied up,” said Kgobo.

“She was taken to a local clinic for treatment. She has been going through counselling.”
Matsheni, it was reported, had told the police that one of her abductors spoke Zulu while the other two men spoke a foreign language.
“The motive for the abduction was still unknown.”
It was unclear how long the car had been abandoned there and how long she had been in the boot.
On the day she disappeared, Matsheni was on her way to fetch her mother who was visiting in Mamelodi, according to Kgobo.
“A few days later her mother called to say Matsheni never arrived to fetch her. We all began to worry,” said Kgobo.
“We tried to phone her but her phone was off. Initially, we thought she might be at her boyfriend’s place around block TT.
As the days went by without her making contact, the family decided to go to the nearest police station to open a missing person case.”
