A suspected robber was caught in Mamelodi after an armed robbery in Lynwood Glen on Thursday afternoon.
CSI Armed Tactical Response spokesperson Dana Bloem said the arrest was made around 13:30.
“An elderly woman and her domestic worker were robbed in Lynnwood Glen after 13:00. At least two culprits were apparently involved.”
The suspects took cellphones, a television and other valuable house items before fleeing with a Silver Mercedez Benz which they stole from the house,” he said.

Bloem said within a few minutes, the tactical response team traced the vehicle.
“The vehicle was recovered in Mamelodi where one person was arrested. All the stolen items were recovered including the vehicle.”
A theft and robbery docket was opened at the Brooklyn police station, Bloem said.
