The Tshwane metro police arrested three people for possession of suspected stolen property on Wednesday.
Spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said the officers responded quickly to a complaint about theft at the Klipgat sewage plant.

“They managed to catch the three suspects in the bushes near the plant,” he said.
Mahamba said the suspects were found in possession of stainless steel railings.
“A Bantam bakkie, suspected to be used to transport the stolen property, was recovered in the area,” he said.
He commended the members of the public who notified the police of the crime and encouraged them to speak out when they witness a crime.
“They can report their suspicions to TMPD at 012 358 7095/6 or the nearest police station,” Mahamba said.
He congratulated the officers for speedily apprehending the culprits.
“As the metro police, we will continue to work hard to enforce the law through visible policing and conducting crime prevention operations throughout the city,” he said.
