Cowhouse – ‘Pretoria’s best food and craft market’

“The market is open daily giving different business owners an opportunity to trade at least 8 days a month.”

The Cowhouse market has been described by many as Pretoria’s best gourmet food and craft market.

Situated in a bushveld in Silverlakes, east of Pretoria, the market attracts more than 2 000 visitors each weekend.

A number of families gathered at the market on Saturday for the various tastes of unique foods and craft beer to live music entertainment.

Organiser James Waugh said the setup gave young business owners access to the market.

“The market is open every weekend and different business owners are given an opportunity to trade here for at least eight days in a month and the feedback has been positive.”

The market has been in existence since 2015 and while the stalls remain open for trade every weekend.

There are more than 42 stalls selling hundreds of products, from handmade jewellery and skincare products to different kinds of food.

The market is open from 10:00 to 16:00, and there is no admission fee.
