Silverton tile ‘thief’ arrested
It is believed the man took off with a set of tiles from a store.
A man was arrested for allegedly stealing boxes of tiles from a Silverton store on Sunday.
Brinant spokesperson Stephan Wolmarans said security officers received information from members of the community that the man had stolen goods from a store and got away.
“There was video footage available that could identify the suspect. It was checked and the suspect confirmed,” he said.

After a search, security officers found the man in Bleshoender Street where he was apprehended and handed over to the police.
The suspect was handed over to the Silverton police.
