Police in Tshwane west had a busy weekend, rounding up more than 100 suspects in various operations.
The men and women in blue with other law enforcement agencies conducted operations around Olievenhoutbosch, Atteridgeville, Pretoria West and surrounding areas, making 117 arrests.
Police spokesperson Captain Agnes Huma said the suspects were arrested for various crimes including armed robbery, house robbery, assault GBH, malicious damage to property, sexual assault, murder, possession of drugs, offences under the road traffic act, drunk driving, possession of suspected stolen property and pedestrian source of danger.
“Suspects will appear at different courts in Pretoria and Atteridgeville soon.”
Huma said more operations would be conducted to ensure safety in the communities.
