Four men were caught in a high-speed chase after a house robbery in Orchards, north of Pretoria.
The four were arrested last week after Akasia crime prevention members were alerted to the house robbery in Smithers Street.
The suspects, driving a silver Opel Corsa with a false number plate, were apprehended by the police and local community forum.

Searching the vehicle, police recovered two TVs with remote controls and a laptop.
An unlicensed firearm was also discovered along with a remote, which was suspected to be used for “jamming” vehicles.
Police spokesperson Captain Riana van Aarde confirmed the arrest and said the suspects were to appear in court soon.
“Police are investigating the matter,” said Van Aarde.
Over the weekend, Akasia residents reported several vehicle thefts in the area.

On the Akasia Amandasig GPF / CPF Facebook page, residents reported three vehicles stolen within three days.
Police said thefts of and out of vehicles remained a concern and urged residents not to leave their vehicles parked outside their properties.
