A man was arrested for possession of suspected stolen items in Elarduspark on Tuesday afternoon.
“We received a call from a community member in Elarduspark informing us that a suspect just jumped into one of our client’s premises,” Bull security said in a statement.
“Our officers immediately responded and upon arrival, the suspect was on his way out (of the premises) with the stolen items. Our officers gave chase and managed to arrest the suspect.”
The homeowner identified all the stolen items.
Lyttelton police spokesperson Captain Dave Miller welcomed the arrest.
“The suspect was handed over to the station. We are still busy with the investigation to see if we can link him to other cases within the area,” he said.
Miller thanked security companies for their efforts in helping to stem the tide of crime.
