Two cash-in-transit guards were robbed on their way to load cash into an ATM at Temba City Complex, north of Pretoria on Thursday afternoon.
The two were approached by three heavily armed men, said police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Brenda Muridili.
“The suspects pointed the guards with firearms before taking their weapons,” she said.
The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money.
