NEWSFLASH: Two shot in north farm attack

One of the people shot was critically injured.

Two people were shot – one critically – during a farm attack on Tuesday morning in the north of Pretoria.

A 21-year-old man was left critically injured with several gunshot wounds.

“He was shot in the chest, leg and shoulder,” Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst said.

A 73-year-old man was also shot in the leg during the attack. “He in a serious but stable condition,” Herbst said.

The younger man was airlifted from the farm to hospital while the elderly man was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

Meanwhile, a lookout alert of the vehicles stolen in the attack and of the alleged perpetrators was issued.

One of the vehicles was a Toyota Land Cruiser game drive vehicle with registration CN 84 GZ GP while the other was a Nissan pick-up vehicle with registration TDK 399 GP.

Residents were warned of four armed suspected – three armed with pistols and one with a sawed off shotgun.

The direction they took after the attack was unknown.
