The police have arrested two men and women for dealing in drugs in Heuweloord this week.
The arrests were made at around 15:30 on Thursday after Wierdabrug police, together with metro police K9 unit members, executed a search warrant on premises in Silver Elke Street.
“During the search police found different types of drugs all [collectively] to the value of R500 000,” said police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele.
“The drugs included CAT, ephedrine and heroin.”
The suspects will appear in Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
These are the latest in a string of drug-related arrests in the Centurion area this week.
On Wednesday, an arrest by Lyttelton police led to four further arrests – all drug-related.
“We traced the [first] man’s marijuana back to a production facility in the Garsfontein area,” said police spokesperson Dave Miller.
“There police made four more arrests for dealing in drugs.”
This was followed by yet another arrest on Thursday morning after the police were tipped off to a man reportedly selling drugs near the Supersport Park stadium in Centurion.
The Tshwane district crime intelligence unit, metro police K9 unit and Lyttelton police members arrested the man when they found him in possession of drugs.
