The case of the two men arrested in connection with a series of protests outside the Shepherd Bushiri church earlier this year, has been postponed for their plea and trial.
On Tuesday, Kabelo Tladinyane and Kennedy Nemoshongwa heard they would return to the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s court in July when their trial was set to commence.
The duo’s plea and trial were initially set to commence on Tuesday but the state’s witnesses were apparently not available.
Tladinyane and Nemoshongwa were arrested after three congregants died and 17 were left injured when a stampede broke out at the Enlightened Christian Gathering church in Pretoria West last year.
They were released on R500 bail each.
A third accused, Price Gcaba, has failed to appear in court after he was also granted bail.
Tladinyane and Nemoshongwa face charges of public violence and violation of a road traffic act.
They will return to court on 8 July 2019.
