Police are investigating after workers were held hostage during a robbery at a business in the Moot.
About seven robbers entered the premises in Nico Smith Street on Sunday morning, said Villieria police spokesperson Captain Coba Brits.
“They threatened workers with a revolver,” she said.

Brits said cellphones from three employees, clothing and R800 were taken before robbers fled the scene.
She said no one had yet been arrested.
Brits said no serious injuries were sustained, adding that one employee sustained a head injury.

Kilnerpark Security spokesperson Ancelize van der Kooi, who also assisted on the scene, said Life Line ambulance services were there to assist with the injury.
“The community is urged to come forward with any information that could lead to the arrest of these perpetrators,” Brits said.
“Information can also be given to police anonymously.”
