The Ga-Rankuwa police are still looking for five people who allegedly robbed Tshwane University of Technology students of their cellphones and laptops.
Police spokesperson Captain Mathews Nkoadi said a bus transporting the students on Friday was stoned by a group of people in Ga-Rankuwa.
“The suspects apparently held the victims and the driver hostage with guns,” he said.

Nkoadi also said two men alleged to have raped a 27-year-old woman in Soshanguve were behind bars.
“A manhunt was launched on Sunday morning and two suspects aged between 26 and 27 were identified by the victim and apprehended,” Nkoadi said.
“They will be charged with rape and appear in the Ga-Rankuwa magistrate’s court soon,” he said.
