A Centurion man was expected to appear in court on Wednesday, after allegedly pointing a firearm at someone near a car wash in Wierdabrug on Tuesday.
The man was arrested by police for pointing of a firearm at the person.
A charge of assault was also being investigated.
After his arrest, the man was remanded in police custody and was due appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s court on Wednesday.

Details surrounding the arrest were sketchy at the time of going to print.
Initial unconfirmed reports on Tuesday afternoon claimed the man had fired shots near the car wash in the Eldo Glen area.
Police were called to the scene of the alleged shooting around 15:00, according to police spokesperson Constable Mandlakayise Zwane.
“Unfortunately, as the man has yet to appear in court, we cannot disclose any details about him,” Zwane said.
Zwane confirmed the charges against the man were for assault and pointing of a firearm only.
“Had shots indeed been fired, police would be investigating a case of attempted murder and the discharge of a firearm in a business area. This was not the case.”
The firearms control act of 2000 deems it a criminal offence to point a firearm, whether loaded or not, at anyone without good reason.
