Police still have not made any arrests in the stabbing murder of a domestic worker in Doringkloof, Centurion, a year ago.
Josephine Dsiani Lekgoathi was found dead in Bashee Avenue on 12 June 2018.
Lekgoathi’s son, Andrew, told Rekord this week how he had been at work in Pretoria when he received word from the police that she had been killed.
“I was called to the scene in Bashee Avenue on that day,” he said.
“When I arrived, her body had already been taken to the mortuary. There was only her blood in the road where the police found her.”
Lekgoathi had phoned her son the evening before her murder.

“We spoke for about 30 minutes,” he said.
“When I think of that call and what happened the next day, I just think where is the man who murdered my mother? What is he planning next?”
Andrew said he got a visit from the Lyttelton police at his home in Mpumalanga last week Friday.
“They updated us on the case. We were told they had yet to find the man who killed my mother.”
“We were asked to leave the investigation to the police and to be patient.
“But we want answers.”
Police found Lekgoathi had died from a stab wound to her neck.
Paramedics assessed her, but she was declared dead at the scene.
She was found in the early morning hours by a jogger.
The jogger told police she saw a man wearing dark clothes walking past her.
He was described as being of slender build, police spokesperson Captain Dave Miller said.
Miller this week confirmed that the police were still investigating the case.
