Moot’s July sidewalk winners announced

The sidewalk of the month competition is the brainchild of Capital Park Residents and Ratepayers' Association (Caprra).

Another winner has been nominated for the best sidewalk competition in Capital Park.

Leon and Adelle Saayman from Van Heerden Street were announced as July’s winners of the area’s unique sidewalk of the month competition.

They received the trophy this Monday.

The handover was done by Donne-Li Johnson of Real One Real Estate, who has been part of this competition since last year.

“We are honoured to be chosen as this month’s winners of the competition,” said Adelle.

“At first we were very surprised.”

The couple, who have been living in Capital Park for the past 11 years, said they like working in the garden.

Adelle said it’s relaxing for her to work and improve her garden.

“I love it,” said Adelle.

“I’m always looking for more plants to brighten up the garden.”

The couple told Rekord that they enjoyed living in Capital Park.

“Our community is very close and I like it,” said Leon.

“I don’t only know my neighbours, but also other people in the street. We have very good relations.”
