Protests continue in CBD

“The City of Tshwane, together with South Africa Municipal Workers Union (SAMWU) and Independent Municipal Allied Trade Union (IMATU), have agreed to resume conciliation today.”

Shops in the Pretoria CBD remained shut on Thursday morning as various streets were blockaded by striking metro workers.

This as salary negotiations between the Tshwane metro and South Africa Municipal Workers Union (Samwu) and the Independent Municipal Allied Trade Union (Imatu) resumed today.
