UPDATE: Streets still gridlocked in CBD
Sisulu, Madiba and Lilian Ngoyi are some of the streets affected by a protest taking place.
Some streets in the central part of Pretoria are still gridlocked as a result of a protest action by striking municipal workers in the area.
Municipal workers embarked on a strike earlier this week, blockading roads and interrupting bus services amidst salary disputes.
The interruptions have now entered the fourth day.

Motorists are advised to avoid Sisulu, Madiba and Lilian Ngoyi streets while negotiations were still underway at Tshwane House, where protesters have gathered.
Earlier in the day some shops were forced to shut down after staff members were reportedly intimidated by protesters.
Roads and transport MMC Sheila Lynn Senkubuge said bus operations would remain suspended until negotiations between the City and labour organisations were concluded.
“Commuters are informed that operations will only resume as soon as the all the negotiating parties have reached a mutual agreement on the wage negotiations,” she said.
