Thami Shobede dies at 31

He was a singer and the runner-up of Season 12 Idols SA.

Idols runner-up and singer, Thami Shobede died at the age of 31 on Thursday.

“It came to our attention this morning that he was in hospital suffering from an illness and complications,” Gallo Record Company said in a statement.

They said his family went to see him in Kalafong hospital, where he passed away some time just before noon on Thursday.

“We don’t have any other specific details or facts at this time,” they said.

Shobede was a singer and the runner-up of Season 12 Idols SA.

Gallo Record Company is extremely saddened and shocked to learn of his sudden passing,” they said.

“Our condolences go out to all his friends and family. He will be sorely missed.”
