One person died and three others were injured in an accident in the west of Pretoria on Saturday night.
The accident happened around 18:10 in Van der Hoff Road, about 10 kilometres from Coca Cola, in Kirkney, said Netcare 911 ambulance service spokesperson, Shawn Herbst.
“It was a head on collision between two vehicles,” he said.

Herbst said three people sustained moderate injuries and another ambulance service took them to hospital.
One person sustained critical injuries.
“He was treated on the scene with Netcare’s advance life support,” Herbst said.

“The patient was going to be flown by helicopter to the hospital, but he went into cardiac arrest and died.”
The cause of the accident will be investigated.
