Man assaulted, building torched in CBD
The police are looking for a group of people who allegedly assaulted a man before setting a shop alight on the corner of Bloed and Kgosi Mampuru streets in the CBD on Monday afternoon.

The police are looking for a group of people who allegedly assaulted a man before setting a shop alight on the corner of Bloed and Kgosi Mampuru streets in the CBD on Monday afternoon.
Pretoria Central police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said the motive for the attack was unknown.
“No injuries were reported and no arrest has been made.”
A case of arson was opened for further investigation, Selepe said.

In a separate incident, three taxis were stoned in the CBD by unknown suspects
A case of malicious damage to property was opened.

“We urge the members of the public with information on the two incidents to report to their local police or to contact 08600-10111.”
