WEATHER: Rain to cool down Pretoria temperatures this week

Tuesday will see a minimum of 15°C and a maximum of 35 °C.

Widespread rain has been predicted for Pretoria this week.

The showers are expected to lower the scorching temperatures of the earlier part of the week.

SA weather service forecaster Jacqueline Modika said partly cloudy conditions would dominate the rest of the week.

“Tomorrow is going to be a hot day for Pretoria. We are looking at a minimum of 15°C and a maximum of 35 °C. For Wednesday, (maximum) temperatures will drop by 5°C to 30°C,” she said.

Modika said a 60 percent chance of rain was predicted on Thursday.

“There’s a possibility of heavy rain on Thursday, across Gauteng, however, no hail is expected,” she said.

“A minimum of 12°C and a maximum of 26°C is predicted.”
