Fresh food market in East attracts many

Locals from around Pretoria flock to the market early to be able to get fresh produce.

If you’ve been trying to get your hands on fresh fruits, vegetables, freshly baked goods or locally handmade products you need to get to the Kimiad family market at the Kimiad Golf Course in Moreletapark every Saturday morning.

Locals from around Pretoria flock to the market early to be able to get fresh produce while also enjoying some music, a kiddies play area and stalls with arts and crafts for young and old.

This is a proper family market that does not disappoint.

The market will soon be moving, as the space is getting too small for all market-goers every Saturday morning.

Kimiad family market is popular because people can browse, taste and relax with local vendors, while enjoying an environment where the kids run around safely, playing on the jungle gym and eating ice cream.

“We are happy to be here, as many other fresh fruit and vegetable markets are too far to drive to early on a Saturday morning,” says market-goer Ronel van Wyk.
