Two arrested for allegedly dealing in dagga in north

The two were arrested in an intelligence-led tactical operation by the Tshwane North police.

Two people were arrested in the north of Pretoria for allegedly dealing in and the possession of drugs on Wednesday.

The first arrest was made by officers of the Tshwane north police in Soshanguve.

Police followed up information received about suspects said to be dealing in drugs and selling illicit cigarettes.

“A search was held and a substantial amount of dagga was found and seized on the premises of an 18-year-old man in extension 10,” community safety MEC Faith Mazibuko said.

The man was arrested for dealing in dagga.

“During another search, a 24-year-old suspect in block A in Mabopane was arrested and charged with dealing in dagga,” she said.

“Eighty medium sachets of dagga and 184 small sachets of dagga were found and seized.”
