Education MEC tests negative for Covid-19
Panyaza Lesufi says he was exposed to staff members who tested positive for the disease.
Gauteng MEC for Education, Panyaza Lesufi, has tested negative for Covid-19 after he was exposed to individuals who had tested positive for the disease.
Two of Lesufi’s staff members tested positive for Covid-19, prompting him to go into self-isolation while awaiting his results.
“This is to confirm that the Gauteng Education MEC, Mr Panyaza Lesufi, tested negative for Covid 19.,” said his spokesperson Steven Mabona.
“MEC Lesufi went into self-isolation after having a test on Tuesday, 9 June 2020, and accordingly received his results today, 13 June 2020, confirming that he tested negative for Covid 19.”
